Subject: Word page/chapter numbering question
Hello-
A colleague is attempting to use Tech-tav macros (only alternative I know to
Master Documents feature) to allow her to keep chapters of a word doc in
separate files yet still allow table of contents, page numbering, etc. to
number properly across files. Her page numbering scheme uses chapter-page
number (i.e. 1-1, 1-2, 1-3 ... 2-1, 2-2, 2-3 etc.). Because the chapters are
separate word documents, Word thinks each chapter is ch. 1. We cannot figure
out how to get Word to let us specify that a chapter is something other than
1. Any help is appreciated.
