Subject:Has Anyone Worked for a Large Law Firm? From:"Robert B Kennedy" <bobbykennedy44 -at- home -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Tue, 13 Mar 2001 21:33:45 -0500
Hello All,
I'm considering a permanent position with
one of the larger law firms in New York City.
Has anyone worked for one of the larger
law firms in the country? If so, can you
shed some light on whether the IT area
was given a healthy degree of autonomy?
(ASSUMPTION: Law firms, especially
the larger, "prestigious" firms, are often
run like feudal societies, with a rigid
hierarchy and draconian work demands.
[This from my 5 attorney-siblings.])
