Sounds fun to me.
<hometownpromo>Hotel rates are pretty reasonable here (Las Vegas) in the
summer, especially if you want to get down and dirty at an off-strip
property. If you want a "trashy" hotel, we've got a few on Fremont Street
(that's downtown for those who have to suffer living outside of the
entertainment capital of the world). My vote would be to do it at the
Casablanca or Oasis in Mesquite, NV -- cheaper rates, great golf courses
with cheaper greens fees, and the Casablanca has a great spa. It is about an
hour north of here. (less for those with Porsches) </hometownpromo>

Subject: Hey! What about a TECHWR-L Annual Conference?
I'm posting this to the list so we can all discuss this.
Why don't we have an annual conference for TECHWR-L this summer? We could
have people speak, hold it in some trashy hotel, eat rubbery chicken, have
heated debates about process vs. cheese. It would be fun.
Eric, you own the TECHWR-L name, what do you say we put something
together? If we could get 100 to 200 people at $100 to $200 a head, we
could do it. A few conference rooms at a dumpy hotel wouldn't cost too
much.
Let's hear some opinions. Good idea, bad? Should I just shut up about this
now?
