What's the prescription?
I love writing for newbies so the boredom isn't an issue for me, but I do keep specific people in mind to help me communicate with the right audience.
I write novice-level ('for dummies') docs for my grandpa.
I write intermediate-level docs for my mom.
I write engineer/techie-level docs for my brother.
Perhaps if you're bored writing for end users it's time to look for a techier position. Would aerospace or bioengineering interest you more than QuikStart guides?
