We create extensive online help and "what's this" help; the
manuals that, in better days would be printed, are delivered on
CDs as PDFs. The PDFs are also installed on user's computers
when they install their documents. There's also a menu pick for
the manuals from the Start menu item.
for the record, we make sure our ToC and index are hot links; we
also have a lot of "for more information see..." references
scattered through the text.
