I'm moving to Minneapolis at the end of this year and, in so doing, will have put myself out of a job. Does anyone have advice for finding employment in the Minneapolis area? I'm a relative newby with 2+ years of experience, but by the end of this year I'll have picked up FrameMaker and Perl (and maybe some Java or C++!) to go along with my Word, RoboHelp, and HTML skills.
I have done some of my homework -- I'm a frequent visitor to the career/job finding sites and to some of the larger companies in Minneapolis (3M, Honeywell, etc). I also frequent STC-TC and its "helpful job sites" and companies listed. Unfortunately, I'm unfamiliar with any of the smaller companies that must be present in Minneapolis and that might be need of technical writing services. Any advice/suggestions/information you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
