We are currently working on a 24-page manual done in Quark whose cover pages
only are in colour. The design of the manual was done by a design agency.
It started on Quark for Mac and is now on PC. We had a font specially done
for us (to show icons.) We now find that we can't make pdf files on my our
computer (Acrobat 4). We get the error message "Offending command: cannot
embed xx font due to licencing restrictions" (where xx is our customised
font.) Yet we can create a pdf of the manual on other PCs in the office.
What is happening? Why do we have this font problem on only one machine? I
can't bothering colleagues when I need to do a pdf so I need to solve the
problem. Any ideas?
