There is a downside to this in that on lists that do this the message
subjects tend to get messy with things like:

"[TECHWR-L] Re: [TECHWR-L] Re: [TECHWR-L] Real Subject Line Here"

Just one of these redundant sets will cause the messages to be separated in
the readers' inboxes if they are sorting by subject.

I second the request. The workarounds that have been suggested are all
well and good, but I think the option to add "TECHWR-L" to the subject line
would be a good idea.
