Re: Contracting in Vancouver, BC, Canada
How realistic is it to expect to make a steady and good living (say $60k
Cdn) as a contractor in Vancouver, Canada?
Extremely realistic. You could make $60k and work 8 months of the year without any problem at all.
Of course, you might take six to twelve months to establish yourself completely. You also need the right contacts, and to develop strategies to ferret out the contracts. But if you've got the right mind set - and not everybody has - you could reach your target income while working no harder than a salaried writer making $50k.
