On this point, I respectfully disagree. I only make this point on list to
emphasize to people considering relocating that one shouldn't expect
Canadians to be more tolerant of other cultures than their American
counterparts. I understand what you meant (I think we Canadians tend to
have this perception), but wouldn't want anyone to assume that racism isn't
a problem in Canada based on that point.

Indeed - I think that if you relocate to a major city (or even the suburbs
of cities like Toronto), you will most definitely find a thriving
Asian/Indian community.
