It's always a good idea, when installing or uninstalling Dreamweaver
extensions, to run the Extension Manager with DW closed. If you do
that, you will not run into conflicts with the Deva DLL.
To run the Extension Manager with DW closed, select Extension Manager
from the Macromedia group in your Windows Program Manager. You can
also run it from "C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Extension
Manager\Extension Manager.exe".

Another list member offered this advice:
You can only unistall it with the Dreamweaver Extension Manager. It
might
me on you Windows menu; if not, look in the Dreamweaver directory.
...but I can't even do it that way. An error dialogue box comes up
saying
DreamWeaver 4 is using the Deva.dll file. Please close DreamWeaver and
try
again. The same thing happens when I close and re-try.
oh my....
