Subject:RE: What to name a series of fields: a puzzle From:Sean MacRae <sean -at- rcp -dot- co -dot- uk> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Thu, 2 Aug 2001 09:42:02 +0100
I'd call a space "a space".
My gut feeling is that's the term that most people understand. You might
call it "Space between (items)" (or "space above..." or "space below...") if
you can come up with a pithy description of your line items, and it'll fit
in your dialog.
It's not clear from your message why you have "First" and "Other" spacing;
you appear to describe just one type of space. Can you get away with a
single field for space between?
Can your developer embed the field(s) within a simple, graphical
representation of an invoice, as Word does for margins (doesn't have to be
interactive)?
