Subject:Single character entries in PDF Navigation pane From:Karen Miller <KarenM -at- abctech -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Tue, 14 Aug 2001 13:59:48 -0700
I searched the techwr archives and also checked the Adobe forum, but I could
not find a solution to the following problem.
I create a PDF from a Word 2000 document. If I look at the Navigation pane,
there are a 10 to 15 single character entries above a valid entry. For
example:
T
Technical support
or
C
Calculating costs
If I click on the single character entry, it takes me to the entry below it
(click T takes me to Technical Support etc.). If I click on Technical
support, it takes me to the correct entry. I've just been deleting these
single character entries from the PDF but I'd rather know why they occur so
I can fix them in the document or in the PDF creation settings.
Note that the actual table of contents for the document is fine (doesn't
have the single character "topics"). I can't find any pattern...some of of
these characters occur before Heading1 entries and others before Heading2
entries.
