Hi Duane --
This is for a standalone system. I'm not entirely clear about
how clients and servers play, but we just have HTML pages
displayed by Netscape browser, so I don't think there is any
server involved.

you are referring to what is commonly know as a *server side
includes* (ssi). html may be stored in a text file and
implemented through ssi. NOTE: ssi is *not* editor dependent.
