Great point. On my first TW job, the manager who hired me told me about this list right away. It became a part of my morning ritual. :)
BTW, in both TW jobs I've had, there was an initial period of learning that consisted of familiarizing myself with the products and the technology, and even building graphics and Web skills. And, mentors can be extremely important resources, from the "Bathroom's down the hall" to the "Don't approach SME #1 before his/her 9:00 a.m. coffee" type of info.
Time spent self-educating on company time is definitely a luxury--but if it's doable in your company (for at least the first week), it can be valuable to any new TW.
