If you're working with files in Microsoft Word, you can
download a terrific little program called FileCleaner from
www.editorium.com for a free 30-day trial.
FileCleaner allows you the options of deleting extra spaces
wherever they fall, deleting unnecessary tabs, changing the
letters L and O to numbers one and zero, stripping out font
formatting and style formatting, and doing many other useful
things. It's a gem.
