Subject:Q: Word to Frame conversion, what to look for? From:"Williams, Leslie" <leslie -dot- williams -at- TransCore -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Wed, 5 Dec 2001 09:50:28 -0800
Background: WIN NT 4.0, Frame 6.0, Word 97 & 2000, Acrobat 5.0
When converting Word .doc containing multiple graphics (e.g. screen shots
saved as .jpg's) and tables (formatted with shading, alignment and character
styles) into Frame what issues should I be aware of?
True or False - Will graphics need to be individually reinserted into Frame
.fm?
True or False - Do tables need to be reformatted once they are in Frame .fm?
I did a conversion from Word to Frame by saving Word .doc as .rtf, inserting
it into the Frame .fm. Then I inserted each graphic separately.
Is there another method that I could have used?
A Technical Writer here was under the impression that the conversion was
going to be more seamless than what I have described. What am I missing?
Thank you in advance!
