Subject:What do you do when the doughnuts dough'nut work? From:"Jane Carnall" <jane -dot- carnall -at- digitalbridges -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Thu, 6 Dec 2001 18:00:43 -0000
An SME (who sits next to me) was explaining how something worked to another
developer. I was focussing on something else and not really listening, until
suddenly he said "You haven't read the documentation at all, have you? Jane,
that documentation, what you slaved over, he didn't read it!"
So I told him (the developer) he couldn't have one of the mince pies I'd
brought in from the Sicilian bakery at the end of my road, and he pointed
out he'd already had one, so I accused him of ingratitude. <g> What do you
do when the traditional method of bribery and corruption doesn't work??? (He
had one of the Sicilian doughnuts too, yesterday...)
Of course, *now* he's RTFM....
It's Thursday but I wish it was Friday: let that be my excuse.
Jane Carnall
Apologies for the long additional sig: it is added automatically and outwith
my control.
