A question for the group... I am trying to maintain single sourcing
(something never heard of here before) while providing discrete information
to three different user groups (state-differentiated). Thus, I am using
conditional text (Frame 6.0+SGML). The source files will hold info for all
states, but three separate book generations (with different conditional text
settings) will provide the doc sets.
Can I cross-reference (or hyperlink) directly in Frame from a conditional
item in "x" book "y" file to an unconditional item "z" book "y" file?
Training says that I can, but the 6.0 book says no. Do I set my Show/Hide
to Show ALL prior to generating/updating THEN set the Show/Hide text
settings?
I am on a tight deadline (no time to set up a test case) and want to find
out before I go down the road paved with good intentions only to arrive with
a happy face in an undesirable location.
Any help would be appreciated.
