American Heritage Dictionary and grammar reference book
Subject:American Heritage Dictionary and grammar reference book From:"Andreas Ternes" <aternes -at- mediasec -dot- de> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Tue, 18 Dec 2001 11:22:16 +0100
Hi all,
I am interested in buying the "The American Heritage Dictionary of the
English Language". But there seem to be different versions of this book
available. I found at least 4 versions at amazon.de:
1. from HMCO, which seems to be the original (hardcover) version.
2. the same as 1., but with a CD
3. a paperback version, published by Dell
4. and a paperback version published by Delta
Especially the Dell version is very cheap, so it would be a good deal.
Is this version identical to the (original) hardcover version? I don't want
to buy an out-of-date dictionary.
And can you recomment a good and useful grammar reference book?
TIA and greetings from Germany
Andreas
