Subject:Outline Numbered Headings in Word 2000 From:"Kiewiet, Loraine" <Loraine -dot- Kiewiet -at- indymacbank -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Thu, 3 Jan 2002 09:05:45 -0800
Do they work? This is Office 2000 on Window NT 4.00.1381.
I've checked the archives and cannot find anything specific to my problem.
Also, I have the QUE book on Using Word 2000 and have followed the
directions. Alas! I am getting flakey numbering in one document.
I'm up to number 7.1 (Heading 2 at this point) and I want to create 7.1.1
(Heading 3). Word is insisting on making it 1.1.1.
Also, I cannot save Heading 3 as an Outline Numbered style in my customized
template. Heading 1 and Heading 2 both appear correctly in the Style menu as
"1. Heading 1" and "1.1 Heading 2". But Heading 3 does not appear as "1.1.1
Heading 3".
I don't want to enter the debate about levels of headings. My manager wants
3 and that's my task.
Thanks!
