>I am looking for an editor generating both online (search engine, TOC,

>you ever had the opportunity to compare these tools?
I currently use the FrameMaker + Webworks + Adobe Acrobat combination to create
documentation in pdf and JavaHelp. Recently, at the XML conference, I had a
lengthy session with Arbortext where they actually took one of our documents and
showed us how to manipulate it in their Epic editor.
>From the information I received, it seems that you'll need Webworks (or some
other help generator) whether you have FrameMaker + Adobe Acrobat OR Epic suite.
The primary comparison for us comes in the re-usability potential. We currently
use Canterbury to re-use text. Since this product is no longer sold or
supported, we are looking at moving to Epic Suite for its re-usability. If
re-usability wasn't an issue, we'd probably stick with the FrameMaker + Adobe
Acrobat (+Webworks) system.
Hope this helps!
