Estella,
I know you asked for responses for women, and I'm not one. Anyway, I'm 6'4". People who have short man's disease have short man's disease and will be intimidated regardless of your sex and no matter what heels you wear. The pumps make you feel good about yourself, so wear them. Stand tall, shoulders back. Shake hands firmly. If the guy is intimidated, trust me, you do NOT want to work for him.
