You don't think it's a good idea to include mention that you know how to use
FTP utilities? I include it, just to underscore the point that I'm
web-savvy. I've worked with a number of tech writers who don't know how to
use FTP programs, because they've never really worked with any web
technologies. (I wouldn't list AOL, though. It's not a business tool.)
And I agree, someone who correctly uses styles in a Word-format resume would
earn points in my book, because it indicates that they've got a handle on
the concept of using similar functions in other markup languages and DTP
apps. IME, people who don't use styles at all and format everything
individually don't know how to work efficiently and are resistant to
learning advanced techniques. Their files are bigger and harder to maintain.
