Subject:Characters overlapping in printed PDF From:johanne -dot- cadorette -at- locusdialog -dot- com To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Thu, 25 Apr 2002 14:1:52
Hi gang,
I've search this archive and a few others and I posted this message to
another list, all to no avail. So I turn to techwr.
Someone printed a PDF (optimized for screen use) and characters appearing
in bold end up overlapping the following, non-bold characters (using FM 6
and distilling PDFs with Acrobat Distiller 4).
For example: "Click OK."
"OK" is in bold, but the period is not. The bold K overlaps the period,
making it look as if there is no period. This happens with every last
letter of a bold word followed by a word in default paragraphe font.
Any ideas as to why this is happening and how we can fix it? I've searched
the Acrobat forum, PlanetPDF and PDF zone, but if you have another other
resource to point me towards, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
johanne cadorette
