Five weeks of unemployment is a paid vacation. Don't lower your sights for
at least another month.
I recently went through eight weeks of unemployment (January and February).
The market is not great here in the Seattle area, and I interviewed for one
job that (I learned at the interview) would pay $40K. I would even get to
answer phones and open mail when I "ran out of things to write."
I finally landed a great job at the same salary I was making before the
layoff. It can happen to you as well.
