RE: WORD updating Ole-linked and embedded graphics
For tons of Word tips, get ye to the word-PC mailing list.
mailto:word-pc-subscribe-request -at- liverpool -dot- ac -dot- uk to join
Thanks Maggie! I had trouble with that and finally looked into it. Work arounds that I came up with:
1. Through the web interface at:
http://listserv.liv.ac.uk/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=word-pc&A=1
2. Or, you can send a mailto:LISTSERV -at- LISTSERV -dot- LIV -dot- AC -dot- UK
In the body of the message, type
S*bscribe Word-Pc Your Name
OR
S*bscribe Word-PC Anonymous (if you want to remain anonymous)
In both cases, s ubstitute a u for the asterisk.

[1] The word-pc-request address appears to be an administrative request address, or so it says at Catalist, a portal for searching lists hosted on L-soft Listserv software:
http://www.lsoft.com/scripts/wl.exe?SL1=WORD-PC&H=LIVERPOOL.AC.UK. Don't know, since the archives show the word-pc-request address as the subscription address in the footer of messages to the list! All I know is that I've tried to subscribe off and on for a few months and finally decided to get to the bottom of it tonight!
