Why can't it be true. Much of Oracle's stuff is very technical and
very complex. It would only make sense that their writers are very
technical.
I documented one of their applications (Oracle Financials) for a
contract a few gigs ago. That application was DEEP, and that was only
from a user's perspective.
I'd like to work there, but I don't think that I could make the cut.
