I want to use a switch similar to /h in my Index like I'm using in the
TOC.
The /h switch in the TOC causes the entries to be hyperlinks, but /h in
the
Index just refers to the Heading style and there doesn't seem to be an
alternative switch.

Sadly, Word does not do hyperlinked indexes. This subject came up on the
HATT list (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hatt) a while back, and there
were some posts about workarounds, but none seemed particularly viable.
The best workaround I know of is called FrameMaker. *g*
