I think there is something classic about a good old number 2 pencil...plain
yellow, with an eraser of course (the eraser is just for looks right...no
one really uses it, right?).
I don't like the informality of typing a letter to a friend, but it is hard
to trade the speed for formality. I at least try and slip an actual
signature in there, and maybe apologize for a typewritten letter rather than
the time it takes to personalize it with a handwritten letter.
I don't do mechanical pencils, and the world is better for it...with all
that clicking and shaking. I have also learned that nothing beats a good
pen to add a touch of class...but not too good of a pen...cause they fall
out of pockets easily and I would set myself back 40 bucks each month for a
new one...so I opt for a $2 or $3 Uniball - Vision - Fine Point (black) Gel
Pen (Shameless Plug). They are stylish and consistent, and allow me to
write quite small without blurring.
I wish I had a pen like "Mortimer" like Bill Cosby had on Picture
Pages...you know, that made that silly sound.
That's my rant on Pens and Pencils...
Ciao
