Please help with extremely frustrating PDF problem
Subject:Please help with extremely frustrating PDF problem From:Emily Berk <emily -at- armadillosoft -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Wed, 15 May 2002 20:50:38 -0700
Hi all:
I created a one-page flier (or, is it flyer?) using FrameMaker 6.0; and, yes, I used the Print to Acrobat distiller way to create the .ps file.
I then generated a PDF using Acrobat 5.0.
I've gotten several reports, only from Mac users, to the effect that they can see the file on screen, but cannot print it. For example:
"I can open the flyer in my Mac, but I can't print it. For some reason, I
get an error message saying: 'Netscape document cannot be printed on Laser Jet Printer 4MP because of a postscript error.'"
And, of course, I would be very grateful for any suggestions as to how to solve this very annoying problem, a problem which I have personally not been able to reproduce.
Please email directly, as I am on digest.
Thanks In Advance.
