If it were that simple, I wouldn't need the transparent background. The art is overlapping the edge of a colored box in PageMaker that has other stuff going on, too. As you probably know, trying to match a PageMaker tint in Illustrator is about as much fun as dry plucking a duck. I may have to go that route, but I foresee a great deal of difficulty if I do so.
Thanks for trying, in any case.
Meanwhile, I tried applying a clipping path in Illustrator. Still no luck, but I haven't given up, and I'm still open to suggestions.
