alerts us this week that Microsoft has granted itself permission to share
your personal details (birth date, country or region, state or province,
ZIP or postal code, sex, use of accessibilty features, time zone,
occupation).

Check this immediately on every Hotmail account you own.

click on Options
click on Personal Profile
Scroll to the very bottom. When you signed up, there was one box where
there are now three.
Choose how much of your .NET Passport information Microsoft can share with
other companies. NET Passport sites at sign-in:
Share my e-mail address.
Share my first and last names.
Share my other registration information.
Change them as you wish
