But, that being said, if you have a security clearance and a tad of experience, your options are still great in the DC Metro area. I was laid off from one job in the beginning of May, and found a job in less than a week. I basically got a pay raise and a paid two-week vacation by being laid off AND by having that active security clearance and enough technical know-how to get me in the door.
