Adobe is the company, like Microsoft. I don't recall a 4.5 in any
product, including Photoshop, FrameMaker, Illustrator, GoLive, Premier,
and Acrobat.

However, a shot in the dark I assume you mean some version of Acrobat,
maybe 4.05c?

In any event, Windows and Office XP require Adobe Acrobat 5.0.5 and
later. Period. It might be that you can get earlier versions of Acrobat
to work with Windows XP--I did--but you will probably save yourself some
time and heartache, and your employer some money, if you spring for the
upgrade to 5.0.5 from 4.x.

Cheers,

Sean

You mean Acrobat 4.05? I think it should be compatible. But, Acrobat
installs some macros and maybe DLLs (I'm not certain) to integrate it
with
MS Office applications. After upgrading to a new version of Office, you
probably need to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat so it can create the
proper
"hooks" into your new Word app.
