TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Depending on how complex your e-Newsletter is, you could possibly create and
deliver it directly from Word (assuming your using XP). I have a
e-newsletter that I deliver to our IT department to communicate project
status and updates and this has been working very well for our needs. It
took a while for me to warm up to using Word for this, but now that I am
familiar with it's quarks (!) it actually goes quite smoothly. I simply
layout my formatting in text blocks and format the fills and frames to make
it look attractive and eye catching. I am aware that there are many draw
backs to this method, but like I said, if your project is not too complex,
you may find Word delivers for you.
