In this case, that is correct. I dashed off the response too quickly. It is
only in cases where the document is binding the source of the document that
legal would have issue.

In your case, you legal department would be very pleased and it is probably
their legal department who would have an interest.

I'm not a lawyer (unless a semester of tort law, makes you one). But,
I.M.H.O. "It is the responsibility of the end-user to ensure that all
information is current." covers the customer's responsibilities, not ours.
So adding "... help ensure ..." would imply mutual responsibility, which we
have no intention of being part of. ... At least, that's my read on it. So
it's up to our lawyers to adjust the wording, which I'm sure they will do
just after printing! ;-)
