Come on folks. I think we all agree that STC volunteers cannot ever judge the technical accuracy. Yes technical accuracy is important. It can be life-threateningly important when we are documenting, let's say medical equipment.
However, you can have a technically accurate book in which information:
<snip>
* is buried in minutia
Isn't worrying about whether Verdana 12 looks better than Arial 10 a bit of minutia ?
This STC thing sounds to me like a dog contest where we look at the ribbons, but don't care less if the dog can bark.
But maybe that's what the STC is all about.
I am so busy writing technical docs to satisfy my clients that I must be skipping the important things like para indents and 1.5 inch gutters.
My 2 Krone worth.
Matt.
