The major flaw in that argument is that MS posted the style guide as an
.EXE file, which installs a .CHM file, both of which are sadly
Windows-specific. If you're documenting a product on Linux or Mac that
happens to run with Windows systems, you'll need to get one just to read
the style guide...

Not very open of them, really... but it's nice that it's free for Windows
users.
