As Ralph Waldo Emerson said:
"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little
statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply
nothing to do."
One of the writers I work with used this quote just the other day when we were
talking about consistency in a certain situation (and it's not the first time
I've heard this quote at work).
