I am a writer from Augusta, GA (formerly from Birmingham, AL)
I guess that means that I drive a pickup truck with no muffler, tail lights,
rusted-out bed, and broken windshield (and probably with only one headlight
to boot) on dates with my sister, on which we go hunting and drink a lot of
beer while using our two remaining teeth to eat fried chicken, fried okra,
and biscuits with gravy. I'm dirt poor, live in a trailer with my parents
and twenty or so kids, all of whom watch Nascar and Crimson Tide football -
and get into fist fights over our favorite drivers/players that erupt into
gunplay. My IQ hovers somewhere around 40, and the only reading I do is the
Surgeon General's warning on my pack of cigarettes.
Let's see...I don't smoke, don't drink, and drive a Saturn. I'm not rich,
but squeak by - and don't own a gun. Lunch today was fried chicken, and I
have no kids and rarely watch TV.
