Some blogs have a single author, but often bloggers invite
readers to contribute.
Blog software applications have a web interface that makes it extremely easy to add titled/dated stuff to a web site. I used one of them to make it possible for an inexperienced computerphobe to handle routine tasks on a nonprofit agency site, adding special events, new courses/seminars, and staff change announcements between regular (paid) maintenance updates.
