Don't do it.
There is no such thing as a 'permanent' position -- just wage slaves.
If you buy into the slop about 'benefits' making up for a decrease in cash, remember that they can chop benefits just as easily.
If you are a contractor, you know when you are going to need to start looking for the next contract. If you are a wage-slave, you can be out of work ten minutes from now when your boss walks into your cubicle and tells you to pack up and go see the folks at HR for your final check.
