David M. Brown replies to Sam Beard's post on Word templates & styles that
he often uses macros to clean up doc styles ...:
>That's why--when I'm project stylemaster--I use my trusty macros to help me
clean up at major milestones or if I happen to notice funky formatting. They
make it quick and easy to find and evaluate any deviations from company's
styles, so I can fix the ones that are inappropriate.
Another benefit of this process is that it sometimes helps me recognize a
need for a change or addition to those styles.>
Yep, which reminds me, I sure do miss my Interleaf and my Framemaker! - the
good old (external) 'catalog' files (Ileaf) and 'master files' (Frame) took
care of the style-policing - for a whole 'book'! Alas, now in the Wonderful
Word World I must do this manually. :-(
