Does anyone know of a keyboard method to select a

If you have a number of text boxes, with images inside, cluttered in a
small area of your Word doc, click on one of the text boxes and hit the
tab button till you get to the text box you want to select.
Also, if all the text boxes are part of a single image, I suggest that you
recreate the image in PowerPoint, save the file as a GIF and insert it in
the document.
You may want to retain the PPT, which can serve as a source to which you
can make changes to. Working with text boxes is much easier in PowerPoint
than in Word.
