Enigma has a GUI tool for adjusting the XSL-FO style sheets using drop down
CSS (as you already know CSS syntax survives in FO). It is handy when you
first start out, but it is slow and cannot handle complex logic.
Once you get what is happening in FO, it is easier to code it directly in a
text editor.
Some day maybe FrameMaker will allow FO export from their WYSIWYG, but today
there is nothing out there except figuring it out and experimenting.
My trials indicated that FOP is not ready for production. We use XSL
Formatter by Antenna House, and another good one by word of mouth is
RenderX.
No visual products yet. This is a definite market need. I hope some
entrepreneur is paying attention and decides to put together a group of
programmers and meet this need. The market will pay for this.

Subject: xsl-fo designer
I am looking for an xsl-fo graphical designer. I feel it would help me get
started faster than having to code everything. Any product to suggest?
