Not quite. Employment contracts tend to have a standard "non-compete"
clause, and it has more to do with intellectual property and corporate
strategy disclosure after the fact. In sales, it would also relate to the
carrying of customers to a competing business.

That is true to a certain extent when dealing with products already released
to the general market. However, it's a good bet that your competitors don't
have all of the key facts on your product development or corporate strategy.
