Is there a tool which converts .chm file to .pdf file
without tampering with the bookmarks, hyperlinks, etc?

Take a look at RoboPDF, from eHelp. One of my folks
gave it a quick test drive, and it seemed to do
prettty well. Pretty cheap and decent, for $50. If
you're .chm doesnt come from Robo, I'm not sure if the
RoboPDF tool would help much, tho.

When you convert your RH chm to a word file using the
Printed Documentation feature in X3,(before it can be
converted into a PDF using RoboPDF), all hyperlinks
are dead (the color of mine remained blue). My
bookmarks were dead as well. I currently use X3 and
was told by eHelp TS that these issues were not fixed
in X4.
