Earlier this week, I wrote to techwr-l asking for advice about obtaining
screenshots on a Windows CE computer. I had found a few links to suitable
utilities:
http://www.cearchives.com/screen_capture.html
http://www.pocketpcarchives.com/screen_capture.html
http://www.cemonster.com/

I received the following suggestions for ways to approach this:
- the Pocket PC developer's kit has an emulator that runs on your PC;
capture screenshots there using your tool of choice.
- you can also download the emulator:
www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=25F4DE97-AE80-477A-
9DF1-496B85B3D3E3&displaylang=en
- Pocket Screen Capture (www.cetoolbox.com/PocketScreenCapture/) is freeware
and seems to work well
- "CEZOOM" software comes with the Windows CE developers kit; so far as I
can tell, it captures an active screen on the handheld PC and displays it on
your desktop, where you can capture screenshots there using your tool of
choice.

Wish I could provide more details, but since we've moved to Win2000 and
locked down everyone's computer to prevent software installations, I've got
to wait for our MIS folk to do the necessary installations.

Thanks to Valerie Priester, Leanne Sanderson, Jason Willebeek-LeMair, and
Dana Worley for their suggestions.
