I select fonts that will produce a help file with a
similar look and feel to that of the application. This
almost always results in a san serif helpfile. There is
a reason why virtually all applications default to san serif
for their menus and dialogs. I can't say for certain
whether it's a *good* reason, but it sure looks silly to
me if the help looks radically different from the app it's
connected to.

Hello,
I am currently working on an online help system. In school we talked about
using serif fonts for text and san serif for heading, etc. for looks and
readability. I always thought that this carried over to the e-text as well.
I have been hearing that studies say that sanserif is easier or better when
looking at e-texts. Any one have answers?
